Emiel de Bruijne is a consultant at BiPRO – part of Ramboll and specializes in the regulation of waste management and, more specifically, the legal aspects of recycling and circular economy. Subjects include waste definitions, shipment of waste and the overlap, conflict, and consistency between waste regulations and other regulatory fields. He regularly advises public institutions and industry on the mentioned fields.
Emiel de Bruijne has experience with the process of policy shaping, the drafting of policy documents, as well as the process of drafting legislation and identifying stakeholders. Furthermore, he has been involved in the conceptualization of legal instruments under the Dutch strategy for a circular economy by 2050.
Emiel de Bruijne holds an LL.M. in European Law from the University of Edinburgh and an LL.B. in Dutch Law from Utrecht University. Prior to joining BiPRO, Emiel worked as a legal support and policy advisor at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment.
